Dr Sebastian has been studying homeopathy for 20 years. Although she was able to help many patients through the use of homeopathic medicine, she came to realize that she could not help everyone. This led her to the study of nutrition and functional medicine. With an integrated approach using homeopathy, functional medicine, and nutrition as well as conventional medicine, she now feels that she is able to help most patients.

Dr Shoemaker has an interesting bio on his website (www.shoemakerchiro.com). One interesting fact is he's the treating chiropractic physician for the Big Easy Roller Girls since 2006. If anyone needs a good chiropractor, I'm banking it's them! Dr Shoemaker is not only supportive of the paleo lifestyle but he walks the walk too!
I was told by one of his patients that he isn't a doctor who keeps you coming back for endless treatment. He treats you with intentions of actually healling you as quickly as possible. He is warm and compassionate, and certainly worth the short drive to Chalmette!

Paleo friendly Nutritionist

After practicing as an anesthesiologist for over 20 years, she was drawn into functional medicine due to her own health challenges. She found that conventional medicine was somewhat limited when it came to caring for chronic conditions that were not severe or currently life-threatening.
She began to learn about the field of functional medicine, which looked at underlying causes of illness rather than simply treating a diagnosis with prescription medicine. She found this different approach so effective that it compelled her to change my career to become a functional medicine practitioner.
While retraining in this field, she became certified in anti-aging/regenerative medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Prior to this, her medical training included medical school at the University of Kansas and residency in anesthesiology at Tulane and Harvard University.
